Rockingham Centre is proud to partner with local charities and community groups that help support our community.
In this month’s blog post, find out what’s happening with the Community Wall, hear about our NAIDOC art event and NAIDOC themed Story Zone, and check out who is looking for Christmas casual job roles.
You may have noticed that our Community Wall opposite Coles has now shut but we have found a new location for your donations (details coming soon)! The Wall is still very much an important ongoing initiative for us so we’re taking the time to make sure the new home is in the best possible spot for all our customers to find and make their contributions.
In the meantime, we’re still accepting donations on behalf of the Lion’s Club at our Customer Service Desk. The desk is open; Find out the opening hours of our customer service desk on our website so you know when your donations can be accepted.
We’re continuing to support the Lucy Saw Centre. The not-for-profit organisation provides a safe and supportive space for women escaping domestic and family violence. We’re seeking donations for women and children of all ages to include toiletries and personal items including underwear. Please note, due to health & safety, these items will need to be brand new. Your donations will help give these women and children a little bit of comfort and dignity at a vulnerable time in their lives.
We thank all our customers for their continuing generosity that allows us to support these amazing charities.

The canvas is currently being stretched and framed and will be proudly displayed in the Pop-up Kid’s Zone. Watch this space for the unveiling announcement.
We are very happy to see that Story Zone is up and running and is as popular as ever in our Pop-up Kid’s Zone near the Optus and Telstra stores.
Every Wednesday at 10 am during school term, we will be hosting our free Story Zone sessions with the City of Rockingham Libraries. These sessions are open to everyone and are focused on entertaining our under 5-year-old customers.
Our first session celebrated NAIDOC week in July. The stories shared were
