Entries to the Rock the Boat Film Festival are now open, until July 31st!
The festival bring together storytellers of all ages and backgrounds, from seasoned filmmakers to local people beginning their creative journeys. Each short film screened embodies the essence of the festival: Stories that challenge, inspire and connect us.

There are five categories:

• OPEN Short Film – Under 15 minutes
• OPEN Documentary – Under 10 minutes
• STUDENT SHORT FILM or DOCUMENTARY – Under 10 minutes
• LOCAL PEOPLE & PLACES – Under 10 minutes
• SUPER SHORT FILM – Under 3 Minutes

Selected entries will be screened at Ace Cinemas from September 11th to 21st, and winners will be revealed at the Gala Awards Night on Saturday 18 October 2025. Winners will be awarded a $1,000 prize per category.
